• Participants agree to allow the organizer to collect, process, and use the personal information they provide (including first and last name, e-mail address, age, and gender) for the purposes of this event in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act. This personal information shall only be used for this event and shall not be used for any other purpose.
• The organizer shall contact prize winners by telephone or e-mail. Winners must then send a letter to the organizer confirming their mailing address. The organizer shall mail prizes by registered post. Participants in this event certify that all contact information they provide is truthful and correct. If the organizer is unable to contact the winner because of incorrect contact information, the winner shall forfeit their right to a prize.
• The organizer shall recover the prize in cases of theft, forgery of third-party information, or fraud. Participants will be held liable for any ensuing lawsuits; the organizer has nothing to do with the litigation.
• If participants’ records or information are lost, inaccurate, unrecognizable, or destroyed due to computer or internet problems or due to causes for which the organizer is not responsible, the organizer shall not bear any legal responsibility. Participants must abide by this condition.
• Winners forfeit their right to claim their prize if the organizer is unable to contact them between the day the list of winners is announced and the final deadline for collecting prizes.
• All prizes are as they are. They are not transferable or exchangeable for cash.
• In accordance with the ROC Income Tax Act, recipients must provide personal identification information and file taxes if they receive a cash prize in excess of NT11,000 within the space of a year. The cash prize is counted as personal income.
• In accordance with ROC tax regulations, foreign residents who have been in Taiwan for over 183 days during a given year and who win cash or any award will have 10% of the value of any such award deducted as tax. Those who have been in the country less than 183 days will be taxed at 20%.
• Recipients agree to forfeit their right to claim a prize if they refuse to pay the tax or if the information they provide is inaccurate and/or incomplete.
• The organizer has the right to cancel, terminate, change, or suspend the event if it is unable to continue for any reason.
